Confession of a teaholic!

I wake up every morning, dry mouth and head towards the kitchen for my mystical cup of tea. The impact of not having your morning tea can be severe; it just won’t upset your mood but can cause some serious damage too. Like in my case, I banged my car to a divider on the way to work, root cause – missed my morning tea which could have revived my sluggish brain.

Tea is one of the revered beverages in India and is an integral part of our daily lives; whether it’s a get together with friends or family, taking break between our hectic work schedules, catch up with friends/colleagues for some spicy gossips and even when you are doing nothing at all. Tea is for all the occasions.

I wonder what this world would have been without tea. There is so much to do over a cup of tea.

Morning tea is more like a ritual, which takes you out from the indolent demeanor brought in by the sunrise. Contemplate the day and curse the sun for rising up so early, while relishing every sip of your tea! But the tea always tastes better when you have a company.

I have made friends for life because we shared a common interest - tea. It amuses me at times how a cup of tea can bring together people from different facets of society. Tea lovers can bond instantly under the influence of its aroma and taste which can clear a muddled mind.

One must try the tea from small stalls at the roadside if haven’t. They taste better than any of the pricey drinks served at the costliest bars (totally opinionated).

You can’t get away with a slothful afternoon without tea. A series of signal gets generated in the realm of mind which drives you towards the caffeinated addiction. A cup of tea can snap you out from a frazzled day.

A couple of years ago while holidaying in Goa I discovered my addiction for tea. Everyone around us swigged the wine and various varieties of booze, wherein a friend and I concluded our drinks with a cup of tea. Insanity can’t be defined.

I am not the only one who is in love with the mighty tea, but I surely can’t resist my temptation for the perfect flavor and aroma.
